Today I went up to Mount Spokane after xc practice & did a nice long hike from the chalet. I took trail 130 out to the CCC cabin, then took 170 to the Day Mountain trail (another section of trail 130). According to the park map, it's 6 miles from the trail entrance by the CCC cabin out to Day Mountain, and I added 5 miles by starting at the SnoPark. I also hung out around Day Mountain for awhile so that I could pick huckleberries--I picked almost a 1/2 gallon today.
